What is coming
The Sandveil Trilogy is a romantasy set against a centennial cosmology.
Every hundred years the appointed heavens open a window. Inside it, the Eldest of Sand must marry the Eldest of Stone. If the window closes without that union, the world begins a long collapse.
Sand invites heaven. Stone makes it stay. Their child renews the century.
Two kingdoms hold the rite. Ilyr the desert, sky-bound and reading the stars. Valedain the stone fortress, earth-bound and guarding the inheritance.
A third kingdom shares the continent. Sovareth has been pressed between Sand and Stone for ten centuries. Three generations ago it refused to be the grateful neighbour any longer. It has been waiting for this exact window ever since.
